The story of an hour is irony because it begins with chaos because she is in a marrige that she doesnt want to be in. she doesnt want to be in the marrige because it is sometimes abusive and not good to be around. it is also irony because the conflict is serious because she thinks her husband dies. and because it ends in death when her husband walks in the door she was so shocked that she died when she saw him.
