The Three Little Ducks
Once upon a time there were 3 little ducks. Their names were Jeffery, Robert, and Koda. So one day the three little ducks went for a little walk to the beach. They then decided to play tag in the water. When they were playing tag in the water a very hungry alligator saw them playing tag in the water. Then Robert went over in the weeds to hide so he wouldn’t get tagged by Koda who is it. But Robert didn’t know that the very hungry alligator was there in the dirty brown weeds. Then once Koda tagged Jeffery Koda went out looking for Robert. He then say Roberts little scarf he always wears. So Koda went over to the grass where he saw the hungry alligator with Robert in his mouth. So Koda then went and told Jeffery about this that he had found out. Then Robert said we better go get help.

The Story of an Hour Essay
“The Story of an Hour”
Marriage can be great; it can be tough as like in “The Story of an Hour.” People who are married most likely love the person they are married to. Some of the people love the person they marry but then later find out they aren’t for each other. If the people don’t like the people they are married to they will probably get a divorce. Back when this story was written, getting divorced was not heard of. If a couple got divorced back then the man would have to divorce the women because the women didn’t work back then. The men worked, they were the breadwinners.
Symbols are very important in movies, books, and or poems. “The Story of an Hour” has a lot of symbols. One of my favorite symbols that I think sticks out the most is the chair she drifts off in after she hears of her husband’s death. While in this chair she thinks of her new life and how it was going to be so much better and so much nicer. Another symbol that I think is important is the window that she sits at when she is done with her crying and when she is thinking about all the new good things that were going to happen. I think this symbolizes all of the good things that her and her husband could have done together and what else she could have done with him. I think it also symbolizes the beginning of a new life.
There is a theme in every movie, book, novel, poem, ect. One of the themes for the novel “The Story of an Hour” is how when she is told that her husband died and she sobbed for a very long time. Then all of a sudden she became happy that her husband had died and that she would be free. She would finally be free from marriage. She then dreams of her sister coming to her house and making her feel better but the only problem is that she locked herself in her bedroom looking out the open window gazing at the tree tops looking at freedom.
The mode of “The story of an hour is irony because it begins with chaos. The chaos is when she is in the marriage that she doesn’t want to be in. She doesn’t want to be in the marriage because it is sometimes abusive, and not good to be around. It is also irony because the conflict is serious because she thinks her husband dies. It is also irony because it ends in death when her husband walks in the door. When he walked in the door she was so shocked that she died when she saw him.

This short novel involves a woman who doesn’t like her husband but can’t get divorced from him because it wasn’t heard of back then. Around the world many children try to fit into a group. Whether it’s skaters, punks, or even gangs, many kids would do anything to join the group they want to. In the book Speak Melinda the main character is an Outcast. Melinda is an Outcast because she got raped. People who are sexually abused often don’t like to talk about what happened to them because they think that no one will believe them what had happened, even if they had proof. If people do believe they really got raped they say it is the victims fault because they were there and should’ve done something about it. People don’t care who it is it could be a 7 year old who is getting sexually abused by a thirty or forty year old weirdo and they still say that the kid should’ve fought him/her off. Sexual abuse can eventually lead up to suicidal attempts.
Being sexually abused can really change your life. For example in the book Speak Melinda gets sexually abused and not a lot of people are friends with her anymore because of that. To prove my fact that people aren’t her friends anymore on the bus the first day of high school a kid just got done eating a ho-ho and then he threw the wrapper at Melinda because people think of her as a whore because she got raped. Melinda doesn’t want to tell people that she got raped because she thinks that they won’t believe her.
Melinda isn’t one of those people who attempt suicide because she got sexually abused. Melinda is one of those lucky ones who recovers from it and ignores the people when the call her a whore compared to the others who attempt suicide because they get called a whore. Some people who are very sensitive may attempt suicide and may succeed but people who get sexually abused shouldn’t kill themselves just because they got sexually abused they should tell someone and not just think that they won’t believe her, because every time they don’t tell someone that’s a one time they will not get believed for sure because they didn’t take the chance of telling someone.
Even though getting sexually abused won’t help that they get made fun of or helping depression but you should at least think of going to a guidance councilor or at least tell someone. Even if people call them names or make fun of them they should still not hurt themselves and shouldn’t commit suicide. People who are sexually abused are normally depressed and shy. They don’t want to talk to people about anything.
If you have ever been sexually abused you should tell someone what happened and who it was because if you don’t other people could suffer like you did and the person could keep on doing it to people and could even do it to you again. If people call you a whore because you got sexually abused tell the guidance councilor that they are calling you names and tell he/she why they are. If you tell them they can help you from being depressed, shy, and or scared to tell people what happened. So if you are one of those people who got sexually abused please don’t attempt suicide people love you and care about you. If you kill yourselves people will have to deal with you leaving and will not know why you did that to yourself. So if you ever got sexually abused tell someone anyone.
